The Side View of The Cage

 The sad part was the day that I have to separate this two sibling. I bought a plastic divider which was actually used for dividing the aquarium. It serves its purpose perfectly. Sometime when I see them looking quite calm, I will open the divider and let them cross to each other enclosure. Sometime they will fight but sometime they will just tolerate each other presence.

I just wanted to show you all their new living place now. Its sad that they cant play together now.

New Addition: Champagne

Well, my sis got herself another new hamster. This time, a Winter White. Got it on Tuesday from Jusco Pet Store. XD It is quite timid and like any Winter White, it like to sleep. We named her Champagne due to her color and because we wanted to name the hamster starting with C like Cookie and Cupcake. XD

Farewell Baby Hammies

All 4 hammies have grown up and was sold to the pet shop. T_T My aunt don't want to take care of so many hamsters and I can't take them back since I already have 2. Well, its been nice having them. They were the sweetest pups ever eventhough they are not that tame. They are still skittish but occasionally, they will jump onto our hands.

It's been a long period when I have to take care of them. On the fourth day, the mother hammy abandon the pup and I was so worried and prayed hard that she don't abandon them. I used a spoon to scoop them back up to their mom and finally, she accepted them back.

I moved them to a secluded room and fed them eggs everyday. I can still hear their bird like chirp asking for their mother's milk. I see them growing furs day after day. They used to be very small and after a few days, they began to grow and no longer looking like naked mole rat. XD

I miss them very much. I do hope they have a nice home with some nice family. I visited them at the pet shop today. They still remember us. Only two of them were left. The other two was sold to a Malay family. I do hope they have a good home.

My Cousin's Hammy Gave Birth!!

Finally the long awaited preggy hammy have given birth!!! Cant wait for them to grow up so that we can tame them!! Welcome to the world. We are not sure how many babies but for now confirm got three babies!! :D Born at 1.30am, 28 November 2011. We pray that the mother wont eat them...

Attention Seeking Hammy

Recently, whenever I moved near the aquarium, Cupcake will stop what he was doing and come near me and look up at me. He will start doing the swimming motion while standing up to get my attention. I fed them already and everything but still, he thought I will offer him more sunflower seed. They are addicted to it but I can only give them 2 seeds a day. Too much is not good for them anyway.

And when I give it to Cupcake, Cookie will start stealing it from him. The poor thing. Cookie has been bullying him. Cookie is getting bigger and Cupcake is getting smaller because of this. The poor boy don't have enough food because of that. I tried to feed Cupcake and Cookie individually now. 

Their New Lair

Cookie and Cupcake are getting bigger and thus, we have decided to put them into a new home where they can run around more. My friend was very nice to give me her aquarium to use for the home.

I went to the pet store and got them an external wheel to play. My sis bought them a food bowl which is bigger and won't tumble down when they try to eat. The house was salvaged from the old cage.And wala, a new home for them.

They seem to like it very much. They will just lie on the glass flooring, feeling at ease. XD I thought they were having difficulty breathing at first but I have asked some and they say they are just cooling themselves off.

Wanted to get more toys for them but we do not have the money for it. T_T We just have to make do with some cardboard for the moment.
